The Differences Between Illustrator and Photoshop

Have you ever wondered what the differences between Illustrator and Photoshop are? Well, here’s a quick infographic and post to give you some clarity!

  • Uses pixels to create images. Individual pixels can all be edited and moved.
  • Image can not be enlarged beyond what the set image size is. Image will become blurry or pixelated.
  • Has a large number of filters and brushes to create natural, lifelike images and photo editing.

Photoshop is great for:

  • Image editing
  • Web design and graphics
  • Creating art using digital pens and brushes
  • Making a project that will stay a fixed size: photos, web graphics, posters, etc

  • Image can be endlessly enlarged without a loss of definition
  • Doesn’t contain the image editing capability of photoshop
